Along the stream Charhansay, northern slope of the Bakhiltau Mountains, South Nuratau Range. S.K. Piven', I.A. Kim et al., 1976f. Stratotype on the right bank of the Charhansay stream. Middle formation of the Aktau Gr.

Synonym: Charhansay Suite, Чархансайская св.


Lithology and Thickness

Interbedding of banded gray marbled limestones, sometimes brecciated and crinoidal, with layers, lenses, and nodules of cherts and marbled dolomites with tremolite. Thickness 620m.

Lower contact

Contacts with underlying deposits are everywhere disturbed. Schematic stratigraphic column indicates the lower contact as Angidan Fm
